Swarm Trap

A Swarm Trap can make it very easy to retrieve bees that would have otherwise been lost due to swarming. Simply place the Swarm Trap in any location that will appear favorable to bees. Bees that swarm will find the trap to be an irresistible new home. The Swarm trap is made of an organic fibrous material that resembles the inside of a hollow tree. A Swarm Trap is also an excellent way to increase your number of hives from a feral colony that cannot be hived. Simply place the swarm trap in the vicinity of the feral colony and any swarms that leave the feral colony will head to the swarm trap. Use caution when working with feral colonies as they may carry diseases.
